As you will no doubt be aware, restrictions have been eased for Victoria from 11.59pm Thursday 9th September. However, advice from the Victorian State Government indicates that the following visitor restrictions still apply to aged care facilities:
- Visitors are permitted into aged care settings for end-of-life reasons and permitted purposes only (exceptional visits can be granted at the discretion of the Clinical Team).
Consideration will be given for any requests for visitation outside these guidelines, exemptions continue to apply.
Resident outings
Residents are free to leave the facility, just as any Victorian is able to leave their home.
If you leave the facility, you will be reminded that you must comply with the same public health directions that all Victorians are required to comply with:
- Private gatherings in the home are not allowed.
- Public gatherings are permitted for up to 10 people
- Face coverings must be worn at all times
You will be screened upon your return. There are no restrictions on the reasons to leave home, but staying COVIDSafe remains important.
