The Board and I are delighted to announce that Mr Gary Simpson has accepted our offer to become the CEO of Eventide Homes (Stawell) Inc.

Gary will commence as CEO on Monday 9th August 2021, and will visit Stawell and Halls Gap with his wife, Julie, for a few days this Sunday. He aims to move from Mildura to Stawell / district as soon as he can. Gary is enthusiastic about the opportunity to work with our team of caring staff members and assist in the delivery of excellent care and lifestyle choices for you, our Residents.

Before accepting this position Gary was CEO of MASP, a large organisation based in Mildura which delivers programs in Family Services, NDIS, residential care for young people, and many other programs. He has also been CEO of Sunraysia Community Health Services.

Through CEO Sue Blakey I have organised a permitted walk through visit of the hostel for Gary and I, and we will be joined by our current CEO Sue.  This will take place at 11 am on Monday. Gary and I will be in full PPE, so we should be quite (un) recognisable, but he is looking forward to meeting residents and staff – please do step up and introduce yourself if you see us as we walk through. Although Sue will be officially “retired” she has offered to come in and assist with a smooth transfer to Gary, and will also be available if needed in the week 2nd – 8th August.

The Board and I would like to thank Joanne for stepping up to ensure Eventide runs smoothly in the “gap” week, and to thank Sue for her willingness to assist throughout the process.

Julie Dunn

Board Chair,

Eventide Homes (Stawell) Inc.
