What is Residential Care?

Residential care is for older people who can no longer live at home for a wide range of reasons. Some people require low levels of care, whilst others may require higher levels of continuous nursing care.

Eventide Homes (Stawell) is a leading not for profit organisation who aspire to provide premium, stimulating and innovative lifestyle support and choice. We have the capacity to care for 100 residents in our residential care facility.

Each resident has a private single bedroom and en-suite, and we also have two interconnecting rooms for couples. For those with special needs, including dementia, we have a $3.4 million state-of-the-art 20-bed wing called ‘Warne House’. The facility includes a unique sensory garden. There is also on-site respite care service for eligible residents of Eventide Homes and the broader Stawell community.

Residents are treated with dignity at all times and we are very supportive of individual customs and beliefs. We take great care that our new residents and their families are completely comfortable throughout the familiarisation process to help make this major life change more adaptable.

To be eligible for residential care accommodation, all potential residents must first undergo an assessment by Aged Care Assessment Services (ACAS). For more information about eligibility, contact the Aged Care Information Line on 1800 200 422 or contact your health care provider.
